And I’m on it this year! ;D
I suppose a whole lot has happened ...
But, most of which I’m not going to tell any of you about. I’ve been trying to get my act together and be more productive lately. As you may have noticed I redesigned the website, and am actually posting a new blog. I finally got my computer and internet issues sorted out.
I got my old computer fixed (it was ridiculously easy) by a friend, and am now using everything I used to use in my XP days except the monitor. Due to annoying parents who got rid of it. Claiming I didn’t “voice” my thoughts on how fixable the computer was. Oh yeah, and I’M ON XP NOW!
I’m slowly but surely getting used to relearning a lot of stuff I used to know. And then learning some new stuff that came out after I lost my computer. I’ve been running a temporary desktop that’s become rather permanent, and is extremely comfy and quite cheery I think. :)
I’ve got a couple ideas rolling around in my head for customization, but so far none that seem worth pursuing. With my new ability to skin every aspect of a window and such I’m kind of overwhelmed. I mean I AM very graphically challenged. But, hopefully a new desktop will spill forth out of me at some point in the near future.
Pfft, I know nobody reads this.
Or if they do they’re only interested in my computer life. Unless they’re strange and happen to want to know about my real life. =P
Any remotely interesting thing I may have thought of for a blog I was to lazy to blog about. So I’m just gonna update you all a little. A lot of crap has happened in real life I’m not going to go into—also the fact that some of my friends may read this sort of bothers me. I usually always used to try to keep my online life separate, but the two are meshing. Slightly unsettling … I may be slowly turning into a shut-in though.
Aside from that. Computer problems are getting worse, some may know recently I tried to finally get away from the controlling aspect of using my mother’s laptop. And bought an old crappy laptop, yes it was a bad idea, but I was desperate. NOW I’m so desperate to get back to XP and my own da … ng machine I’m gonna try and fix my old computer, I think it could happen with some work. But I bloody hate desktops, somehow I’ll find a workaround though.
So besides what I’ve already mentioned … uh, there isn’t much to say. Except I may be also getting stranger and stranger. Certain people are rubbing off on me. And I myself am just getting worse, like I said shut-in UBER GEEK. I’m getting geekier, and weirder. I stopped watching TV entirely many months ago. Now I watch obscure independent films, foreign films, and cancelled television shows. But at least a plus about all this is I’ve been finding some really awesome music and movies. :D
I talk a bloody lot! Maybe too much?
But I’m gonna anyways. Apparently. ‘Cause it’s sort of late, and I want to do something before I attempt to go to bed … that doesn’t take too terribly long.
So, Tuesday I hung out with a friend and had a fantastic time, nothing to tremendously eventful happened though. Except I got to ride a Vespa! IT WAS TERRIFYING … BUT AWESOME!! I liken it to theme park rides. For me, at least, I had never been on anything remotely like it before.
I had for the first time ever, vegetables actually grown out of someone’s garden—‘cause they live in the country. And they were AWESOME. My gosh, they were just sautéed in butter, so it must’ve been because they were homegrown that made them taste so good.
But anywoo, that night I was super hyper, we think because I didn’t have coffee—but I think it was partly due to the fact that I was so happy. Eh, I call it a draw. Wednesday I was supposed to go walking with another friend, but it didn’t happen. Which wasn’t terrible, since I was feeling especially lazy that day.
And then tonight, I was SUPPOSED to go dancing with a friend. (The same one from Tuesday.) BUT at the last moment she realized that since she got off work at 9:30pm and then the ride to my house making it 10pm then getting there at like 10:30pm with the place closing at midnight, and us missing the class at 8pm. I would just look EVEN MORE like a fool, and have very little time to even practice, at all. So she changed the plans and said we’d have to go on a night she gets off early.
Long story short, another friend is pissed off at me because I didn’t stay the night at her house. EVEN though I had these plans set for like 3 weeks. And told her that. And tried to change the sleepover to Thursday. But she didn’t even try, she wanted Friday, Thursday AND Friday or nothing. And then got pissed that I was hanging out with someone else. GAH. I’m upset about it. ‘Cause with the way she is, it would’ve been better if she just didn’t know—‘cause she’s SUPER PISSED AT ME! =/
Anyway. I did have fun tonight though. Until that happened at least. I saw Balls of Fury—which was actually really funny. We ended up landing on that ‘cause that’s what was playing at the theater closest to me, so we didn’t have to drive forever to get to the other one late and see a probably not as good movie. Then went out to eat. And now I have no money again. Stuff is expensive. We should’ve ate at my house. Dang it.
On the computer front: I took so bloody long to make my other screen shot I tired of it very quickly, and have been bouncing around between wallpapers and themes. Now I landed on a remix of Nitzua’s Midsummer Classic shot—one of my big favorites. That I really like, and almost wish I had posted instead. But not really, I more-likely would like to submit this. But nothing’s really changed enough for me to do so. So eh.
Back from the camping trip.
I just got back from my weekend camping trip with a bunch of people. The ride was like two hours long, but I had fun on the way there, even though it was dark, and she was going fast around the corners. It was awesome, I’m actually a little depressed to be back, I had so much fun. I saw a “meteor shower”—one large one really.
It was to bright that night. I SAW A TON OF STARS I didn’t even know bloody existed. And I saw the milky way cloud-like stuff along with the some constellations, and a shooting star. I saw the end of it, but it was still really pretty.
And I climbed a vertical dirt wall off the side of a little mountain by the roots of trees! Slide down a dirt hill. Jumped from one giant rock to another of a five and a half foot distance, with very little landing space.
Got to go to a lake, and some falls, where the water was extremely freezing. And supposedly I got “sun kissed” so I have a bit of a tan on my forehead, nose, and cheeks. Which seems odd to me. I got to play what I call camping games, and make s’mores.
And just all in all I had a great time, didn’t use half the crap I packed, especially because SOMEONE told me it was four days when really it was not even three. The only reason it felt like three was because I was up most of the night on Friday, and then it was freezing. Saturday not so much, but there was lots of snoring. And there was five of us in the tent, but it was comfortable.
Now I can’t remember what else I did, those are probably the biggest highlights. It was just a blast really, I’m really glad I got to go. And the people I went with were great. And this is gonna be a yearly thing, so that’ll be cool. The only thing that made the trip suck, was on the last day two of their cameras got stolen. Expensive cameras they loved, with all our memories on them. We’re still pissed about it.
